Here's
what our Program Underwriters have to say about WOJB...
Northwoods
Naturals
Underwriting
with WOJB is the best way to spend your advertising money, to be
heard not only by local residents, but also those that listen to
WOJB on the internet. The programming is the best around and I
often hear from people that live in the area and seasonal residents,
that they have heard my announcement, stopped in my store and inform
others of the products that I have to offer.
Sandy
Rooney, Owner
Shirley
Armstrong gives her reasons for underwriting on WOJB:
"As
the owner of Armstrong Insurance Agency and Curves of Hayward,
I found underwriting with WOJB a great tool to get my services
into
the community. And it is rewarding working with community radio
that is actual in our backyard. Plus the staff is the bomb!
Give them
a call. You too, will find it a rewarding experience."
The
Landing
With
a large variety of programs that attracts different listening needs
of locals and visitors - it is great to hear our business on the
air. MAny people tell us they heard our announcement on the radio
- you help us build our business.

Second
Street Market
We
all love WOJB because of the great programming and interesting
music, it was an obvious choice for underwriting when we opened
the store. About a year into business, we wanted to learn which
avenues of marketing were catching people's attention - how they
had heard of us. We made a customer survey which we handed out
to everyone that walked in our doors in which we asked how they
found us and which radio station they preferred to listen to. About
90% of the surveys returned indicated that WOJB was the preferred
radio station. Because of this response, we believe WOJB to be
of great benefit to our business.
Advertising
perks aside, WOJB is a wonderful addition to the community as it
consistently ties together people and important grassroots efforts
by quickly making important information and ideas available to
the public. This alone makes WOJB a worthy cause to support.
Every
business person knows the importance of staying engaged with their
community - WOJB makes this easy and rewarding.

WOJB
provides a wonderful service to our region through its excellent
programming and its focus on issues relevant to our community. By
underwriting WOJB, we believe that, as a local bushiness, it reflects
positively on our commitment to the northland.
Jump
River Electric Cooperative is proud to be an underwriter of
WOJB, Woodland Community Radio. WOJB plays a key role in reaching
not only members of the Lac Courte Oreilles Community, but many
northern Wisconsin residents and visitors to the Northwoods. The
varied programming offered appeals to a wide audience allowing
the Cooperative to reach our diversified membership. We plan to
continue to support WOJB and sincerely appreciate their presence
in our community.

The
Great Lakes Indian Fish and Wildlife Commission (GLIFWC) appreciates
the extensive coverage WOJB gives to issues relevant to tribes,
especially relating to resource management, environmental issues
and tribal rights. WOJB's programming also appeals to an audience,
including tribal members and non-Indian people, who are supportive
of many of GLIFWC's goals. GLIFWIC is grateful for WOJB's unique
programming, which incorporates important Ojibwe cultural values
into contemporary topics of interest to a wide public.

Roe
and Meyer, S.C. As much as you have valued us, we can say the
same. WOJB has been a client of Roe & Meyer, S.C. since its beginnings,
if my memory serves me correctly. The staff at WOJB has always
been a delight to work with and it has been our pleasure to
watch your organization grow to the successful station it is
today. While
in the Hayward area, we enjoy tuning into 88.9 FM to hear familiar
voices and interesting commentary. We also enjoy the wide variety
of music your station provides.

There
are several reasons why Chippewa Valley Bank uses WOJB's broadcasting
services. There are two that directly influence the bank's success.
One, I believe in the relevance of your broadcasting: the broadcasts
pertain to the area you serve and cover topics that are of direct
interest to the people of this area. Primarily, this is the same
area we conduct our business in and the same people we serve. Secondly,
I view the various Lac Courte Oreilles governmental and business
enterprises, as it pertains to commerce, as being the most economically
significant in all of this area, Because WOJB is the primary communication
medium for Lac Courte Oreilles, WOJB has been and can continue to
be a significant player in this development. Chippewa Valley Bank
benefits from this commerce: accordingly, I believe it important
to support WOJB.
